Earlier this month, Utah lost its first known wolf pack in over a century after 3 wolves were killed in the state’s unprotected zone. These losses are a reminder that without strong protections, wolves will continue to be killed for crossing invisible political boundaries.

Sadly, even in his cute winter coat, Freddy missed out on a home this Christmas. After being returned through no fault of his own, this was his first holiday alone. If you can give him a chance, there's still time to give him a happy new year! Freddy is 3-years-old, 80lbs, and in Monroe, WA.

Winter walks can be risky for dogs in cold weather. Shorten walks near 20 degrees Fahrenheit, use sweaters for vulnerable dogs, wipe paws after walks, and watch for signs of discomfort. Indoor enrichment helps on very cold days.
