Sad to hear Udo Kier has died. I met him once at a breakfast buffet in a hotel in Antalya. We were both there for the film festival. He was in two films at that festival - playing Bela Bartok in a Turkish film about the composer, and Iron Sky (aka Nazis in spaaaaccccceeee).

I so nearly wore my fancy wellies today...instead I just walked in my trainers through ice floods in the centre of Liverpool and now I'm on a bus with absolutely sodden and freezing feet.

I LOVE making risotto. I wish I had more time to, it's my favourite thing to cook. It's also DELISH. Butternut squash and rosemary, or beetroot and feta, so it goes a beautiful pink colour. And then I always think I've made enough for several meals, and I always end up eating it all.
Risotto is not work. It is meditation, followed by self care.
My issue with risotto is 40 minutes of work gone in a couple of minutes ! I do love it though this looks v good . Dried mushroom so flavourful
