Kylee, my fluffy golden dog, is feeling better. She’s eating more and walking without falling over. But stairs are a challenge because she can get up them… but not down. So I have to come up with a better solution than carrying her down every time. Though I’m impressed that I can and she lets me.

My bestie is sick. We took her to the vet yesterday because she can’t walk very much without falling. They said she’s getting motion sick and dizzy because of ear issues. (She’s been through it with chronic ear infections… not new. Just getting worse)
But she also hasn’t been eating. 😞

'In the winter garden' - my favourite geometric garden aerial that I've ever done! I don't remember if I shared it here or not yet - it has camellia bushes in the centre and beds of winter heather and hellebore :) the geometric landscapes are always more challenging and I love that! #embroidery

Had a table at a holiday market today! It was my first one in about a decade. It went better than I expected, despite it not being a very busy event. I learned a lot and hope to do another one eventually.

I’m mostly proud that I was able to talk to people! That was a big win for me. 🥳

Small quick painting I did today to study the values of snow before attempting a more detailed painting later (probably next year)

My laptop isn’t working anymore. I was hoping to have it last a little bit longer so I could save for a new one. 😭
But it’s been crashing and doing that blue screen thing for months… so yeah. It’s dead now.

Snow ❄️

It’s snowing. ❄️
I hope I can get some good wintery references this year. Last year I didn’t have boots so it was very difficult.

This one got a coat of varnish yesterday! 🥳

All filled in. Now for the hours of looking at it and tweaking it and my husband saying “I thought you finished that one” 100 times.

It’s not finished until I varnish it. 😝

Unboxing and consolidating a lot of things this week. I found this lil guy.
It was one of my first oil paintings… I had no clue how to use the material properly. But I’ve always loved painting nature. And it’s the same size I’m working now… 15 years later. Full circle 😆

Mawtiyima Forest from Genshin Impact.
I did an oil painting of the area after this area was released. It had a lot of fun landscapes. I haven’t played in forever. But painting this was super fun. I kinda regret not making more scenes.

Pulling out some older work to create a ‘sale’ bin for the market.
Once upon a time I made a whole series of sea creatures… the materials involved chalk pastels, baking soda, vinegar and charcoal. Every experimental and made for some fun prints… the originals are a nightmare.
This was my favorite🥰

I have to admit… today was difficult. The loneliness was extra stingy… and it was hard to be thankful.
My heart constantly hurts. It’s been three weeks since my husband got laid off… and it’s just getting harder to stay hopeful. None of our family members even checked in on our wellbeing today.

I want to buy handmade ceramic dishes from artists all over the world. I want to buy that book you wrote twice and give one to a friend. I want to cover my walls with all kinds of art. I want to buy knitted socks and sweaters, and woven scarves. I want to buy your music and have every cent go to you

My husband passed his exam and is now applying for jobs with an updated resume! I’m so proud of him!

I updated my website a bit.
Also getting business cards printed, learning how to use my point of sale device, almost done packing all the prints up, and painting more!

Please buy prints 🥰

Doing this for a couple hours. Husband is off taking a certification exam… so I’m a bunch of nerves and this packing ritual is actually really calming.

Spider lily is half done!

I feel like I’ve been able to carve out enough time for my art lately and I’m enjoying it so much. I should have this one and two others done before the new year. And that’ll mean more prints for sale 😄

Finished it and took it outside to photograph it. 😊 it’s pretty! 🌈

Back to the other ones. And I’ll spending a lot of time prepping for the art market… it’s only 2 weeks away!
