My bestie is sick. We took her to the vet yesterday because she can’t walk very much without falling. They said she’s getting motion sick and dizzy because of ear issues. (She’s been through it with chronic ear infections… not new. Just getting worse)
But she also hasn’t been eating. 😞
Kylee, a golden fluffy dog, looks left toward the neighbor’s yard. The ground and fence are covered in snow. She seems pretty alert… always looking for the neighbor’s cats.

Had a table at a holiday market today! It was my first one in about a decade. It went better than I expected, despite it not being a very busy event. I learned a lot and hope to do another one eventually.

I’m mostly proud that I was able to talk to people! That was a big win for me. 🥳

All filled in. Now for the hours of looking at it and tweaking it and my husband saying “I thought you finished that one” 100 times.

Unboxing and consolidating a lot of things this week. I found this lil guy.
It was one of my first oil paintings… I had no clue how to use the material properly. But I’ve always loved painting nature. And it’s the same size I’m working now… 15 years later. Full circle 😆

Mawtiyima Forest from Genshin Impact.
I did an oil painting of the area after this area was released. It had a lot of fun landscapes. I haven’t played in forever. But painting this was super fun. I kinda regret not making more scenes.

Pulling out some older work to create a ‘sale’ bin for the market.
Once upon a time I made a whole series of sea creatures… the materials involved chalk pastels, baking soda, vinegar and charcoal. Every experimental and made for some fun prints… the originals are a nightmare.
This was my favorite🥰

Doing this for a couple hours. Husband is off taking a certification exam… so I’m a bunch of nerves and this packing ritual is actually really calming.

Spider lily is half done!

I feel like I’ve been able to carve out enough time for my art lately and I’m enjoying it so much. I should have this one and two others done before the new year. And that’ll mean more prints for sale 😄

Working through an idea.
I like parts of it.
I think I need to drop it for tonight and work on something else though. The pink/reds need reworking but I’m undecided about how right now…

Left side of the spider lily is almost done.

These bloomed in our yard last year. However, the kids dug up the bulbs in spring not realizing what they were… so we had none this year.
They apparently symbolize death… but also rebirth. They felt like a warning and encouragement all at once.

I had to prepare the inside before I attach the roof. But it looks good and sounds good so far I hope I can sculpt an adorable dancing pig for the spinning magnet. 🥰
A work in progress music box. The inside is complete with the music movement installed. It’s covered by an acrylic box covered with green velvet. A magnet lays on top of the velvet. Not pictured: the magnet moves and spins when the music plays.
