Just watched the Stallone film Cobra for the first time, or at least the crucial last half hour. What a load of arse. Like a Schwarzenegger film without the engrossing plot, class or razor wit.

Football and pub quizzes do not always mix well. They can, but somehow one half of the equation seems to not understand matters of volume, decorum and shut the fuck up for a moment.

There's a single standing stone in a bog standard 1970s housing estate in Edinburgh. Surrounded by modern buildings, kept behind a railing, not quite in its original location. It's still... mystical to me. Like it just breathes history.
