FYI: Dems in the senate can't defund ICE. ICE is funded by the Big Ugly Bill. Shutting down DHS on this vote wouldn't touch ICE, but it would shut down FEMA, TSA, Coast Guard, etc. Shutting down ICE requires taking back Congress in the midterms. Dismantling DHS requires the White House in 2028.

It is amazing "commitment to the bit" to stick with this sex offender line after they just used it to justify dragging a completely innocent US citizen from his home in his underwear in freezing weather.

I honestly wonder how much of this is deeply psychological for Vance, the inability to reconcile that people can love their neighbors so much when his own mother abandoned him.
