Dr. Oz wants the power to run health care for 66 million American — but he dodged paying $400,000 in Medicare taxes.

Dr. Oz won’t even pay his fair share into Medicare. How can we trust him to lead it?
US Senate Democrats call on Trump Medicare nominee Dr. Oz to pay $400,000 in avoided taxes
Dr. Mehmet Oz, the celebrity physician nominated by President Donald Trump to oversee the government's Medicare and Medicaid health plans, should commit to paying over $400,000 in taxes he avoided, two Democratic U.S. Senators said on Thursday.

Donald Trump’s billionaire Commerce Secretary has financial advice for Americans:

1. Please buy Tesla stock to help poor Elon Musk.

2. Shut up and don’t complain when you don’t get your Social Security check.
Trump’s Commerce Secretary just said seniors shouldn’t “call and complain” if they stop getting their Social Security checks: “A fraudster always makes the loudest noise screaming and complaining.”

Donald Trump and Elon Musk are playing games with your Social Security benefits — money you've earned through a lifetime of hard work.

They want to fire workers responsible for processing checks and close hundreds of regional offices.

Not on my watch.

As the Social Security Administration cuts staff, that could impact the agency's ability to pay millions of benefit checks each month, Democratic senators warn.

So why'd he have dinner with Big Pharma executives at Mar-a-Lago with Trump?

The American people deserve to know what kind of deals might have been made at those "million-dollar" dinners.

In 2017, Trump gave a $2 trillion tax cut mostly sucked up by billionaires and big corporations.

But it was so expensive, Republicans set many of their tax cuts to end after 2025.

Now, Republicans want to steal from working people to pay for more tax cuts for billionaires.

Preventing HIV in women in Africa | Nature Medicine
HIV incidence is declining globally, but around half of all new infections are in sub-Saharan Africa—where adolescent girls and young women bear a disproportionate burden of new infections. Those who sell sex are at particularly high risk. Despite declining incidence rates and availability of effective biomedical prevention tools, we are not on track, globally or in Africa, to achieve UNAIDS 2025 prevention targets. For those at risk, interventions that strengthen their motivation, capabilities and access to all available HIV prevention technologies are critical—for adolescent girls and women in particular, but also for epidemic control more broadly. Exciting possibilities for scaling up new and highly effective prevention technologies are close, but delivery, implementation and financing models need to be developed and urgently evaluated, in partnership with communities, or these opportunities may be lost. Here, we discuss the evolving landscape of biomedical prevention technologies f

But we're seeing Trump and Musk's plan in action: pausing federal funds that rip school lunch away from preschoolers and end Meals on Wheels for seniors. That's not efficiency, it's cruelty.

I have better ideas.
