Trump's speech was a fiasco. It revealed yet again, his ignorance, arrogance, and malevolence in equal parts. But it was more than that, more than just offensive to our allies. It marks the end of a century of building trans-Atlantic ties that have been a centerpiece of global peace and prosperity.

Which I feel like we should be clear, is bad every time it’s done. The liberal self-flagellation thing is happening where American exceptionalism in reverse kicks in.

Europeans hold about $10 trillion in U.S. assets — $6 trillion in stocks and $4 trillion in bonds. Anyone reckless enough to “pick a fight” with Europe is playing with fire. You don’t sabotage your strongest allies over greed. You protect them, because stability protects us all.

They couldn't even straightforwardly condemn it! They said he should spend more of his incredible mental focus lowering beef prices! There is no indication that anyone in Democratic political leadership thinks it's bad to invade our treaty allies.
Even after Trump is gone, the world will remember that he threatened to forcibly seize the territory of a peaceful democratic ally, and our institutions failed to immediately remove him. That makes US dangerously unreliable, not just one senile gangster.

His not being impeached by the end of the business day as a result of this threat is as much a problem as the threat itself. It’s not just Trump that the world has to worry about, it’s a GOP that supports him and Democrats who suck their thumbs and refuse to even discuss pushing to remove him

Trump: "Canada gets a lot of freebies from us. They should be grateful but they're not. He watched your prime minister yesterday. He wasn't so grateful. But they should be grateful to us. Canada. Canada lives because of the United States. Remember that, Mark, next time you make your statements"
This man is talking about stealing a country at gunpoint from nations the US is allied with. Of course Europeans hate us. You would feel the same way if you were in their place. American voters put this man in power, he didn’t seize it this time.

Every day we all have to think about one of the most irredeemable cunts in the history of the world. What’s he doing? What’s he said now? How will it affect your life? What will be left once he’s finished smashing it all up? It’s unconscionable

I would love for the evils of the US to be isolated and unique instead of a warning of where many other countries are currently headed — as billionaires wrest greater and greater control over the planet and all governing policies. I hope we are anomaly. I don’t know that we are.

Watch the flight. Air Force One in a holding pattern doesn’t sense when it has priority over every other aircraft in the sky. If it needed to land, it could have dumped fuel and gone straight back.
Pilots out there, what say you?

Genuinely looks like they let him fly the plane for a while.
Call me crazy but “only one person booed and it was Al Gore” sounds like a whopper of a lie by the Commerce Department to try to pin it on a sicko lib to save face about whatever actually happened
