Houston is a snake. But you can’t micromanage everything. I think the decision to do this was made high up in the NSLC and Houston just blessed it. They had a good year and they can write off the loss. Good PR at Christmas time.

He’s gambling that no private proponent comes forward with money to build it. It’s only smart politics if he’s right.

With all due respect that’s BS. Fossil fuels contribute 6% to the GDP. And the oil companies and any potential pipeline company are foreign owned. It’s not doing squat for the Canadian economy. A pipeline for Alberta is all about appeasing Alberta.

I wouldn’t bet on Nova Scotia. Though we do already have private components I don’t think privately owned hospitals would be an easy sell. And it’s not somewhere that it would be lucrative.

If that’s what happens he’ll have been smarter and more successful than Trudeau who bought and built one hoping it would be enough to satisfy Smith/Albertans.
