They can’t even sell that car with no competition. It’s not a practical car and if that’s the best they have to offer then I say too bad. Show me a practical EV that is affordable.

Maybe he knows a way to make whiskey out of soybeans?

Ontario jobs that don’t even exist yet because nobody is making EVs in Canada.

Vodka is just another way of serving potatoes.

You said they should look for other markets. A bit late for that. They should be loading the ships. I’m sorry but you haven’t offered any realistic alternatives. Dropping the tariffs seems like the best solution.
slimdude.ca
Well the silos are full of soybeans and the market they were depending on has disappeared and there’s an option to bring it back. If you think you have a better option for them by all means let them know. I’m sure they would love to hear them.

Are you denying that there is a market, a huge market in China? That’s hilarious! 😂

Trump announces another strike "just off the Coast of Venezuela" that killed 6 people
Under my Standing Authorities as Commander-in-Chief, this morning, the Secretary of War, ordered a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) conducting narcotrafficking in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility — just off the Coast of Venezuela. Intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with illicit narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a known DTO route. The strike was conducted in International Waters, and six male narcoterrorists aboard the vessel were killed in the strike. No U.S. Forces were harmed. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!!!!

I’m sure a lot of people would agree with taking over the rail trails and putting the trains back in around the coast of Nova Scotia but I don’t see it happening anytime soon. 40% of Canadians live outside of cities and the vast majority of landmass is sparsely populated.

Nearly every media outlet is announcing they will refuse to sign the Pentagon’s new rule stating they cannot report information if it’s not government “authorized.”

Even Newsmax is refusing to sign.

Oh that’s nonsense! If we stopped driving gas cars tomorrow and only drove EVs our emissions would drop significantly. There’s a huge benefit to EVs especially as we green our power grid.

You can’t find buyers quickly if they don’t use the product. It takes years if not decades to develop new markets where they don’t exist.
slimdude.ca
They’re putting in new ones all the time. I rarely see a lineup and the app tells you how many spots are available. I don’t think anyone is building new gas stations.
And China is also coming out with models that can swap out the battery for a quick change.

I want to watch you tell the soybean farmers in Manitoba that they have to find another market to replace China, the inventor of soy sauce and largest consumer of soy. Because I’m not going to tell them.

I have a good friend who drives an EV. He travels often. Never had a problem.

I’m afraid we don’t have time. We’ve already waited too long to address climate change.

Very few jobs. Not like the old days. Most factories are highly automated. And we can demand that they assemble them here.

Gas tax pays for a very small portion of road upkeep.

Oh by the way, you can charge them at home. Can’t do that with a gas car.

I guess you’ve never seen a DeSoto. A car so heavy you can leave a drink on the back bumper and when you get to where you are going the glass will be there without a drop missing. They were available from the late 20s until 1961. You know, when they built these roads.
