Liberals heard it at the door after they bought TMX. They were told it would be the last. Now here we are again and it’s not just Guilbault who feels betrayed. It very much might not end well for the Liberals.
2 months ago Coastal First Nations asked Minister Hodgsons for a meeting. The liberals got back to them Wednesday and said they could talk on Friday- after Carney announced the pipeline.
Hodgson's is a Goldman Sachs buddy.
This isn't going to end well.

To journalists attending the technical briefing, it seemed clear that the Carney’s government had handed Smith everything she wanted.
No wonder Smith was giddy.
This could be a problem for the Liberals.

This point is disturbing: Guilbeault "was also deeply troubled by the ease with which the PMO was casting aside its moral obligation to May. What was the Liberals’ word worth?"
Mark Carney seems to have forgotten the first rule of central banking: Your word, your credibility, is all.

He’s planning land strikes for the same reason.

Yet he pardoned Jonathan Braun, a convicted drug smuggler.

He’s about to pardon Juan Orlando Hernández, another convicted drug smuggler.

Imagine the hole in Alberta’s budget when the price & demand for oil is in long-term decline in 2030s as a result of the energy transition and increased demand for clean energy. Not nostalgia for the past, it’s about winning the future. Just economics, folks.
Alberta faces $6.4-billion deficit as falling oil prices and trade troubles take toll
This year’s budget represents a massive multibillion-dollar swing from an $8.3-billion surplus last year
