Back at the hotel,exhausted after attending Stephen’s sister’s funeral. Many tears but also laughter and wonderful memories shared with family, friends and her colleagues from her years as a consultant rheumatologist. ❤️Flying home tomorrow. His mum is close to death so much more sadness ahead of us😢

Flew to Manchester yesterday and we are now with family members and friends gathering for Stephen’s sister’s funeral later today. Our son stayed at home to sit with his granny in hospital, who is in her last few days of life. I really have no words to describe our feelings at the moment. 😪

Sitting in a very uncomfortable plastic hospital chair keeping Stephen’s sister company as we sit by their Mum’s bedside. She is 94, gravely ill and slowly slipping away from us. His other sister died two weeks ago , so life is difficult at the moment. 😥

Heartbroken 💔 My much loved sister in law Janet died yesterday.When I met Stephen she and his other sister Ruth welcomed me into the family as a “sister from another mother.” We have been just that.. sisters for over 40 years.
