Hey so apparently gmod facial models fool the verification system. So definitely don't do that. That wouldn't be very upstanding of you to not give your ID and face to a company that has a track record of having their info hacked.

The paragraph about Gaussian vs. natural light falloff is awesome, because it also shows the importance of integrating arts/humanities and STEM. "Gaussian blur is a smooth gradient" is digital art/photography. Luminosity following an inverse-square law (in a vacuum) is a piece of physics knowledge

Not least of which is because this is a forensic reconstruction of a method of making art that was almost lost, because we “improved” (i.e. changed animation techniques to adapt to faster and less labor-intensive digital processes) technology for producing animation.

Both of my parents grew up in West LA, an area with a large Japanese American population. One night their neighbors were forcibly taken to Manzanar. They were horrified. Both my maternal and paternal grandparents purchased their friends' properties and returned them upon their neighbors' release.

One big missing piece of the picture of trans healthcare debate has been the shift from a one-size fits all program that emphasized a cis passing appearance as the only acceptable end to an individualized approach that offers only as much medical intervention as the patient wants and needs.

In the media, the anti-trans idea that trans patients are medicalized and pushed into unnecessary interventions has become the dominant frame.
In that frame, the context of a larger deemphasis of surgery never occurred. Trans people are imagined to be on a conveyor to surgery - but that's not true.

In practice, waiting until 18 is still the default for most patients who want surgery, but patients not wanting surgery is much more accepted as well.
