It has so many kids cycling to/from school that it can be quite hazardous to cycle against the flow. At the same time, there is a huge empty road next to it for the benefit of hardly any drivers. Even here we provide for drivers first and kids cycling to school second.

Marston Ferry Road cycle path is one of the best in Oxford, but it's still ruined by infrastructure for cars: bollards across it in several places are quite hazardous in the dark, just because drivers can't be trusted not to drive on it without them.

It would mean rephrasing lots of other stuff: only one way to write positive integers as a product of primes other than 1.
