Likes: kindness & countryside; music & morality; decency & dunes; humour & hope, hopefully knowing when alliteration must simply stop
Dislikes: The obvious really. The antithesis of the above. Climate change denial/doomism is top.
Berwick-upon-Tweed, very close to the east coast border, which for some reason hits the North Sea a couple of miles north, ensuring the town is in Northumberland. But only since 1482.

Bamburgh, Northumberland.

Stunning and justifiably full of visitors.

Thank you. I like it too.

But I think my current favourite maybe:

I'll let you into a wee secret Victoria but don't tell anyone 😉

It's not actually Morag. I'm afraid I neglected to advise that there's a wee boat just off screen and this is its wake. One can use one's imagination though, until reality kicks in.

Here's another image of the loch: Morag not present.

Actually, it's probably at or near Knockvologan, a trek through the scrubby woodland south of Fionnphort.

The Ross of Mull
Somewhere, can't remember quite where, anyone recognise it?
November 21, 2025 at 11:52 AM
Absolutely! Brighton West Pier, opened in 1866, closed in 1975, 50 years ago. Gradually decaying and falling into the sea.

Quite iconic and usually gets wonderful starling murmurations around this time of year. This was 7 years ago.
