This is a great list, but half of the items are stuff we should have been doing anyway. It’s ironic that we are finally putting significant effort into DX in order to make AI’s job easier

I agree, but I'm not entirely sure that if they did, things would significantly improve. It's not like we had a wide range of choices at the last election.

We didn’t vote for 2 of the last 4. And May was appointed unopposed, though she did go on to win an election (just)

I was actually thinking of open source software developers and amateur artists/writers. But I’d be willing to bet that the vast majority of “creatives” are in work-for-hire arrangements as well. A tiny, tiny percentage of artists are making a living from selling it with royalties

Software has a fairly open culture of “stealing” from each other. Literature and Art have a culture of trying to hide the fact that we are all just repeating what we have seen before with slight modifications. Only when you become as successful as Picasso can they start to be honest about that
