They would obviously have to change track on immigration generally. But by the time of the election, Britain could be struggling to attract immigrants, with far-reaching economic (political) implications. Possible the issue will lose its salience?

Isn't the point that Irish business activity very often isn't European business activity, but is instead US multinationals' ROW business activity booked in Ireland for tax purposes?
