The number of places in society where they can have their way has consistently eroded. Culture doesn't cater to you anymore, women can work and get divorced, jobs can fire you for being an asshole or assaulting the secretary, you can't say the N word at the corner bar. Kids are the last bastion.

i just keep thinking about how many people are relinquishing their agency to remember, think, feel, and process for a machine, relationship, “history,” or self-disregard and the act being sold as an “advancement” or standard.
