Good grief! Watching the very first series of Prime Suspect, from way back when. 1990 or thereabouts. I'd totally forgotten that a very young and beautiful Ralph Fiennes was in it, wearing a bloody awful leather jacket, presumably to make him look edgy.

Good God! Here in Germany children and adults are kept in hospital for 7 days following a tonsillectomy because the risk of post operative haemorrhage is high. Happened to the girl sharing a room with my daughter when she had it done. That girl would have died at home.
