Next major signing for Arsenal. Ultimate utility player. Superior version of Kolo Toure :-)
Hope White and Gyok (who landed on his shoulder) are alright

Absolutely moronic from Villa while trying to play out from the back. Reminded of our attempts to play out from the back during Emery's tenure with us.

Penalty surely?

If you want to win this title, there must come games where the desire to win is greater than the desire to not lose.

We just don't throw enough at these games. Oh maybe you'll lose one every now and then, but one win remains better than two draws.

We had 7 shots on goal compared to Brentford’s 12 and 2 shots on target compared to their 3. 2 SHOTS out of which one was the goal. Absolutely TERRIBLE stuff from the team. Our attackers are so poor at times and the way we get a non attacking player like Timber hog all good positions in attack

Did Saka look fit at all? If no, why did Mikel even play him? Get Martinelli on instead.

Don’t think this team and the fans are built for the run-in.

Pool absolutely bottled that

With Merino being injured, Havertz is probably going to be used more in midfield. Maybe MLS too

Odegaard much better today
January 31, 2026 at 4:56 PM
Terrible that Saka is injured

Why is Merino not playing?

We could have scored eight tonight and that would have been utterly irrelevant to how we finish in the Leeds match.

Connecting good (or bad) finishing from today to the weekend is pure confirmation bias stuff.

Madueke needs to improve his end product... Needs to be calm in front of goal
January 28, 2026 at 9:56 PM
Norgaard has proven to be a very decent passer
January 28, 2026 at 9:48 PM
Martinelli has mastered that outside of the foot pass/cross

How often do we see this? x.com/Tactx_/statu...

We break the lines with an opportunity to attack, slow down till all our defenders are back in position simultaneously allowing the opposition to also come back and set themselves up in a low block. Then ultimately we end up passing the ball back.

Fair, but I think we also know by now that very little, which persists over time, isn't happening by design.

The FBs don't randomly appear in #10 spaces

The CBs don't randomly pass 50 times between each other

Odegaard / Zubimendi (goes for him as well) don't randomly slow play down
Odegaard - he has a lot of touches but not in dangerous areas.
He's one of the main culprits for slowing the tempo down by having 10 touches when 2 would do, often drifting inside from the right, touch touch touch, then turning back, touch touch touch and giving in back to Saka in exact same spot
