The blue matters too, very much. It’s a smaller theme, but I’d say it’s layered onto every thing that is socialized and programmed. Things under control are in Virgin Mary blue, I think.

Driving right now, and concerned. What if HE gets raptured while driving? Will Jesus take the wheel? What if his seat belt stops him from being raptured? Will he blame me?

Celebrating the rapture today the only way I know how, because I ain’t religious

7 chrysalises, 1 j-shape, 1 guy making a silk anchor, and Medium Bob. Medium Bob believes his 9 siblings were raptured, which depressed him. I explained that there would be a rapture 2.0 as long as he was good and ate his milkweed, so he napped all and then started eating like cat possessed.

We have never liked having a single light above our garage… it didn’t cast much light, and it drew the eye up to the weird rectangle of vinyl siding above our garage door. Changing to lights on either side of the garage draws the eye away, and is soooo charming in person.

Unrelated: these are my sweetpeas. Please enjoy.

Four idiot monarch caterpillars (of my ten) are now in the process of becoming chrysalises. Why are they idiots? Oh, because three out of the four tried to chrysalis inside a test tube rack. They had 1” of space to work with, which would have constricted their chrysalis form.

How far I got. (Ended up conversing with spouse, watching South Park, and then starting a doc on the Yorkshire Ripper.)

Tent B: these five caterpillars have been assigned these pronoun: them/her/it. Why? Because monarch caterpillars have no clear gender markers, so I am doing whatever I want.

The first 5 caterpillars in tent A!

My first ever sweet peas.

Finished!! And as we finished, a monarch butterfly came in and circled for awhile, checking things out. Perfect.

Halfway done! The Beavers used power tools to make the raised flower beds (!!!) and shovelled about 1/5th of a Ford F150 pickup bed of dirt into the raised beds. We ran out of dirt before we ran out of flower bed. To be finished tomorrow! Amazing project, so impressed with the kids.

Monarchs are a go. We have ten caterpillars, all alive and eating fiercely.

Preparing to build raised beds for a pollinator garden! This project is being led by Beavers in the Scouts Canada program. *salutes* I am supporting their plan by doing the grown-up stuff!

Done! My second quilt. The binding is LOL because I was realllllly rushing. Even these photos are rushed because I’m working, have the child at home, and am preparing to give this blanket at the baby shower this afternoon.

Glue binding in process. This is my first time glue binding, so I have clothes pegs on to keep things together just in case. Trust, but verify!

Quilt progress. This is the Night Stars pattern from Quilty Love Shop. I have never bound a quilt on my own, and I have pretty basic tools, so wish me luck.
