When the U.S. uses the military against citizens, attacks immigrants, and executes people who pose no threat, it jeopardizes our national security because it incites violence, invites retaliation, normalizes fascism, and sets precedence for others to follow suit.

I keep hoping this ends soon, but I’ve gone numb. Maybe that’s survival. Day to day I just think, whatever happens, happens. It’s hard to believe in justice when the powerful escape it and innocent people are the ones at risk.

I hope Democrats are doing the work ahead of the midterms, both to protect the process and to counter the “stolen election” narrative we all know is coming. I don’t like sounding paranoid, but the moment we’re in demands preparation.

I’ve never cared about the Super Bowl or halftime shows. But Bad Bunny is an American artist, and that should be celebrated. Instead, we’re stuck in a culture where division is encouraged from the top. We should be supporting each other, not hating.

I’ve spent years deconstructing things I didn’t even realize were shaped by racism. Looking back isn’t always comfortable, but growth rarely is. We should all want a more diverse table, more shared culture, and a chance to learn from each other.

It feels like a privilege to rest while others keep fighting, but I’m worn thin. The joy has been squeezed out of everyday life, and the powerful keep gaslighting us from their comfort. They think consequences won’t find them. They always do.
