Things that interest me: most sports - I'm big into fantasy football, college basketball, Cubs baseball, and Michigan football/bball, lefty politics, music - all variations of rock and Americana, movies & TV, anything that distracts from the hellscape
You never miss an opportunity to use Heathcliff Slocumb. I managed to squeeze in a couple former Cubs that I don't use often enough.

He did post this, which kind of gives an idea of the timeline. He's been free of her for 10 years, and also said in another post he celebrated 4 birthdays with her while they were together.

She turns 33 in January, so most charitable interpretation would be that 23 was last b-day they were together

Here's the list of QBs drafted in the first 3 rounds since 2015 that had a passer rating below 70 in their first 5 starts:

Fairly bleak outside of Goff and Josh Allen.

Bryce was at 78.7 passer rating. Caleb at 81.3.

Trevor Lawrence and Bo Nix both around 71.

Meanwhile, I'm not seeing a whole lot of downward movement on this NYC population graph:

Live cattle prices are down in the last couple weeks, although the catalyst for that is most likely Trump announcing that the US is going to import more beef from Argentina.

Here's the price of live cattle over the last year. That black dot I drew is the day when Trump first talked about the possibility of importing beef from Argentina.

A few days later, Trump said he's going to quadruple Argentine beef imports.

This is interesting on Shota. I think there's a very real chance that he accepts the QO and stays a Cub.

They're not exactly Dems that are *currently* in elected office, but Biden and Kamala both did post tweets praising Cheney.

Trump on SNAP on October 31st:

"If we are given the appropriate legal direction by the court, it will BE MY HONOR to provide the funding"

Two federal judges order Trump admin to fund the program with contingency funds.

Looking at the final scores of the playoff games that duo played together for Detroit, and man was that a different brand of basketball.

And this quote is from March 31st, more than 2 months *before* Rodgers signed with Pittsburgh.

KOC explicitly said Rodgers reached out to the Vikes to express interest, and Vikes had already ruled out bringing him in.

$4,200 per year is $350/month, which doesn't really go all that far right now. My wife and I certainly spend more than that on groceries per month for just the two of us.

Here's an estimate of grocery budget from Instacart using USDA data. How far does $350/month really go?

He's supposedly a history buff, right?

Do you think he's seen the movie Inglorious Basterds?

Wouldn't you think if he saw the movie, and noticed the symbol on Waltz's hat, he'd have recognized it as being the same image tattooed on his chest and looked into it more?

I think the most troubling part for me is that someone who used to work directly for Platner says he knew what it meant.

Genevieve McDonald was Platner's campaign manager up until a few days ago

Funny to see TJ Hockenson griping about his TD catch being overturned when it was pretty clearly the right call. The nose of the ball definitely hits the ground, and after bouncing off the turf, both of Hock's hands come off the football. Pretty clear and convincing evidence IMO.

My wife and I attended the #NoKings rally here in Chicago. It was heartening to see 10s upon 10s of thousands of people show up - people of all generations and walks of life.

Restored some hope that there are more of us than there are of them.

I know, sharing screen shots from the other site isn't something this site loves, but this was just too laughably dumb not to share.

Do we know how long Alt is out for though?

From what I heard, the 'carted to the locker room' headline is a bit misleading and that he got to the sideline on his own before being carted. He might only miss a few games, and Chargers could certainly win 3-4 of these games w/o him:
