In 1949 the US military held its first Aeriel Gunnery Competition, later known as "Top Gun."
The best of the best competed in dogfighting and other skills. The team that won, was the 332nd: The Tuskegee airmen.
So they refused to announce a winner🤡

Went out to buy a christmas tree today - seems that none of the local garden centres stock the original norway spruce. You know the one that smells nice and has spiky needles that immediately drop? Apparently no one wants them any more but to me they're an intrinsic part of the experience 😊

Blast from the past... Just found this photo from 9 yrs ago when I let TV people give me hair extensions in order to demonstrate how TV hair adverts are made (it was a documentary on the science of hair - I swear this was serious science!).

Food banks in Canada are calling on Canadians donating food this holiday season to also reach out to their members of Parliament to advocate for the implementation of basic income to keep people above the poverty line and "put food banks out of business."

You can be pretty sure that - just like anything opposed by project 2025 - it’s a good idea
This is true but not very well known. Project 2025 explicitly opposes universal basic income.
I looked at the application for free courses (for those applying for jobs for the new administration) on the project 2025 website yesterday and there’s a series of litmus test questions. One of them asks if the person supports universal basic income.

A UBI-like program in Indonesia reduced deforestation by 30%. A new 2-yr pilot will evaluate how rainforests can be saved by UBI by directly reducing Indigenous people's poverty. Early result: "Trees are no longer being cut down; people are preserving the trees."
