✈️💨 London is now the global city most exposed to air pollution from aviation.

Yet - across the city's public transport - ads for cheap weekend getaways by plane have become the norm. 🤔

Here's why (and how) we are taking on polluting ads in London. 🧵 1/5

Brilliant use of nostalgia and familiarity to question why it is okay to push harmful things onto the public. The only way polluters will change is to hurt their income (until elected leaders grow backbones and regulate them properly).
"For the Southwark campaign, Bonner channelled the golden age of cigarette advertising, repurposing the cheery glamour of vintage tobacco marketing to expose how the same manipulative tactics are used today to normalise pollution."

Crafting global legislative guard rails for mariculture now could ensure that the world's growing demand for more seafood doesn't end up killing marine life. How does this get started? Which environmental groups get ahead of this? #mariculture #feedtheworld #fishfarming
Can the world farm more seafood with less impact?
A new study says the answer is yes. But the best-case scenario sits on a knife-edge of three factors: Location, location, location.

We don't have to be bombarded by ads for stuff that kills the planet.
🌍 What do global cities such as Amsterdam, Stockholm and Edinburgh all have in common?

These major cities have ALL banned fossil fuel adverts. These ads have massive climate and health impacts, all while targeting politically influential decision makers.
