The Bay Area is at risk of massive transit service cuts if we don't pass a 2026 regional funding measure.

It cannot be overstated how disastrous cuts would be for our entire region.

Without a Bay Area transit measure, Caltrain would have to
- run 1 train/hour
- stop service at 9pm
- stop weekend service
- close 1/3rd of stations

These cuts would be a disaster for riders and undermine the faster and more frequent service that boosted ridership 47% YoY since electrification.

The governor recently signed AB1250 which streamlines the paratransit recertification process.

Now, people with disabilities won't have to go through lengthy, repeated processes to prove their disability in order to stay eligible for paratransit.

Clipper 2 is so important, as it will allow:

💵No-cost/reduced cost transfers between transit agencies
💳Ability to pay with credit cards or your phone
⏲️30 min grace period for BART excursion fares

Note that if you want Clipper 2 immediately you’ll need to contact Clipper in December:

It's great to see ACT evaluating policy like this.

I just wish they would have analyzed the impacts to the schedule more.

Did this allow them to reduce padding? Provide more service? What was the service goal to begin with?
