Denge sound (acoustic) mirrors. Built in the late 1920s/early 1930s as an experimental early warning system for incoming aircraft but as aircraft speed increased they were superseded by radar. The largest circular dish measures 9m across.

Goggleby Stone, Shap, Cumbria. One of the fourteen remaining stones that originally formed part of a 2.5km stone avenue, that up until the 18th century was considered comparable to Avebury.
