I've used em dashes for YEARS. It infuriates me that if I use them in my writing people assume it's AI. Should I give up and ditch them? Or switch to spaced en dashes, perhaps?

from someone who was in school for the beginning of the "war on terror," please. please please please. talk to teenagers in your life about not joining the us military. about not letting themselves be groomed by recruiters in schools. they're going to want soldiers, and they always start young.

Question for the #OSE and #OSR folks:
When making a hexcrawl, to what extent do you 'stock' every hex? Do you need a lair or adventure site in each one? Are some just empty spaces for random encounters? I've seen conflicting advice on this. (I'm using 6-mile hexes, for context.)

Anyone remember the Fantasy Series 1 minis from Black List Games? I use them pretty much every weekend. I backed the Kickstarter for Fantasy Series 2 back in April 2021, and they were meant to be delivered in 2022. It's now nearly 2026, and they're JUST getting released now...

Trying to name a town. Greyhold, Stonehold, Greywall, Northreach, and Stoneharbour are probably my favourites so far. But I really want something less dull. Names are hard!

Most of the discussionI have seen about the The Campaign Handbook focuses on how useful it is for people who are new to DMing.
I want to take a different approach.
I've been doing this both as a GM and as a writer for a long time. Next time I need to plan 5e campaign, I will be using this book.

d12. It is a bit underutilized but still distinctive. I like how it allows for fun stuff like this (if I need a day Encounter or a Night Encounter, I can just roll a d8 or a d4, etc.)
