I didn't leave, but yesterday definitely left me... Defeated and somewhat betrayed. The folks that benefit from the system are defending the status quo, and just like @flannel.live they are my friends, peers, and even colleagues.
Folks are really fixated on a funny number over community.

Any attempts to talk about anything relevant are met with aggression from other community members.

I hope that for every bridge that gets burnt, 2 more bridges will be built. It's clear that the community cares about this, and I hope this rallies the charge for other pinball social media (like HUPchallenge and a handful of podcasts) to join in with their voices.
I’m kinda risking burning bridges with some pinball industry contacts by making this video, but the entire Women’s Advisory board for the IFPA just resigned in protest, and we need to talk about this.

I hope that for every bridge that gets burnt, 2 more bridges will be built. It's clear that the community cares about this, and I hope this rallies the charge for other pinball social media (like HUPchallenge and a handful of podcasts) to join in with their voices.
It should be emphasized, especially to those who wish to continue to support the IFPA and believe that they have made the right decision, that the actions and behaviors of the IFPA organization (+ the WAB resigning) have caused a lot of their friends and peers to lose trust in the IFPA. 1/?

Before I get into other things, I want to acknowledge that today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. It would be remiss not to reflect on the sacrifices and struggles that have led us to where we are today. Trans Rights are Human Rights, and I hope to pick up where those who came before me left off.

I have had 2 straight good days at work for the first time since August.
My manager gave me a bag of coffee beans she got from a friend.
My lab results came back and I'm pretty much within female tolerances for hormones for the first time.
I played pinball.
