It was on the bottom front of the engine, so all sorts of stuff had managed to get in there and cause the wire to shake loose.

One of my first cars would randomly decide to not start at the most inopportune times. It took me a while to figure out there was a small wire connection to the starter that would come off from the vibrations of the engine. It took me even longer to figure out that just cleaning it was the fix.
