Facts: Cyprine Odada, founder of Critical Mass Nairobi is my bike organizer inspiration. What a bad ass. So much to learn from her and what she founded.

If you haven’t watched this yet, please watch it and share it.

If you care about cities, transportation, saving lives, bike-lanes, lying politicians, or how to completely dismantle evidence-free populist liar’s decisions.

It’s VERY well done. #NotJustBikes #Ontario #Toronto

Here’s what #Canada should do in the face of linked economic threat of #Trump and #climate:

Stop exporting #oil to the #USA.

#America gets 60 per cent of its syrupy death sauce from 🇨🇦

Turn off the taps, stockpile & stop producing more — that’s how you beat a nation led by asshat reality deniers.

Never forget, a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.

ALL ROAD USERS.

And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all. For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them.

Never forget, if you design a city for cars, it fails for everyone, including drivers.

If you design a multi-modal city that makes walking, biking and public transit attractive options, it works better for everyone, including drivers.

INCLUDING DRIVERS.

The “war on cars” has always been a lie.

I’m a life-long cyclist who rode away from Toronto and Ontario even before the Ford bros started pitting everyone against each other for votes.

Overreaching provincial authority to rip out bike lanes in Toronto exposes Doug Ford’s lazy and wasteful approach to planning.

And it will kill people.
