Medical journals are an important bulwark against government censorship. Unlike universities, journals don't have enormous grant funds on the line when they stand up for their rights.
Last month, RFK Jr. demanded the retraction of a vaccine study in the scientific journal Annals of Internal Medicine.

Its Philly-based editor refused.

"He didn’t like the study Annals published," she told me, "mostly because it didn’t align with his beliefs." www.inquirer.com/health/chris...

Today's executive order includes a provision that will obliterate both functions.

according to conservatives on the court, the constitution does not protect your right to your own body but does enable the government to ship you off to a foreign gulag without any hope of return

No explanation.
None.
It’s obscene.
I keep remembering the 1679 habeas corpus act. It reacted to the king arresting people & without trial deporting them. It began: “for prevention of imprisonment beyond seas.”
Without explanation, our current SCOTUS majority is undoing centuries of justice.
Today’s unsigned, unexplained #SCOTUS ruling clearing the way for removals of migrants to third countries without any additional process is a disaster—not just on the merits, but because of the government misbehavior that it not only refuses to punish, but effectively rewards.

161. The Court's Disastrous Ruling in the Third-Country Removal Case
The majority did not just greenlight an especially odious immigration policy without any explanation; it did so in a case in which the government defied the district court—twice—with no consequence.

Don't lose sight of the way they are destroying due process.
