it’s because they’ve spent their whole lives watching the media put on the green eyeshades and ask How Will You Pay For This exclusively to democrats
Tbh it’s kinda crazy how right wingers seem to think their policies would be free. “Massively expand inpatient mental health care, quadruple the prison population, hire a lot more cops” all would require insane tax hikes lmfao.

Football commercials:
- 60 Minutes headline story about the wacky sport of chess boxing
- bizarre commercial to “help president trump end the fentanyl crisis”
- gauzy ad for Meta about how their generous datacenter investments are preserving small-town America

if you wanted to be president you probably shouldn’t have gotten divorced because you were addicted to a podcast
Trump's entire gambit is to bully and harass and intimidate people into silence. But the elections last Tuesday, the huge No Kings turnout, and the packed rooms I saw in New Hampshire this week are proof that his plan is not working.

the only natural human defense against smarm is bullying
The vulnerability of the U.S. government to criminal exploitation is just staggering. I mean, I can't wrap my head around how we can prevent the "sue federal government, friends and allies in the Department of Justice settle" racket.

why should I love this? Sure Karl had the image ready to go but then he asked Hasset about it, Hasset said it was Joe Biden’s fault, and Karl just gave up
Gotta love how Jon Karl and ABC News had this graphic ready to go *the very moment* that Hassett rolled out his Walmart anecdote.

Margaret Brennan was like this way before Bari Weiss showed up
This is Bari Weiss’ CBS, folks. It’s a right wing reactionary media outlet and any journalist with a shred of integrity would resign immediately
Margaret Brennan to Tom Suozzi: "Can you explain the focus this past week in the House by Democrats on the Jeffrey Epstein files? Is this a tactic to distract from the failure to extract healthcare changes?"

Will someone, anyone please stop these deportations that are disrupting the Department of Homeland Security

if giving PR to sex predators is unethical journalism behavior why are all of our media betters falling over each other to defend Olivia Nuzzi
Giving PR and blackmailing advice to a sex predator crosses bright red lines—in journalism, and just on a human level. @passantino.bsky.social and I discuss on Power Lines.

everyone who keeps telling me she “left the tent” is either stupid or just thinks I am
Marjorie Taylor Greene: "I do support him and his administration ... his remarks of course have been hurtful ... unfortunately it has all come down to the Epstein files ... I will continue to do my small part to get the files released."
November 16, 2025 at 3:35 PM
She didn’t leave the authoritarian coalition though, she wants the Epstein files released because she hates the Jews
Securing defections from the authoritarian regime is the centerpiece of any successful pro-democracy resistance.

Politics isn’t fandom—when someone leaves the authoritarian coalition, we should take it as a win.
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.

given how The Greatest Showman made PT Barnum into a champion of diversity I wouldn’t be so sure of what the conman’s final chapter in history will be
One of the core stories of western civilization is about a king that loved gold so much it killed his child and then, because he was a sycophant, was cursed to live out his days with the ears of an ass.

I 100% believe that the name "Trump" will ring through the ages as some kind of warning tale.
"It was tough to beat Apple, but the Swiss did it." said one administration official.

How the Swiss convinced Trump to drop tariffs with gifts of a Rolex desk clock and a 1 kg gold bar.

our media betters aren't even bothering with "critics say this is bad" anymore

John Roberts already handed him that authority last summer and everyone just sort of went into collective denial about it
"Legal experts point out that this effectively hands Trump the authority to unilaterally execute civilians who are not waging war against the United States in any recognizable sense."

Read that again, I had to.
Trump's illegal murders in the Caribbean just got worse. An internal DOJ memo on the bombings says the victims are waging war on the US, but per NYT, it extensively cites the WH's *own claims* to this effect as evidence!

It gets even darker than that. 1/

a few years back I posted something on twitter asking what would stop trump from just repeatedly pardoning the same people over and over again and the reaction I got was mostly people saying that was impossible without ever giving a reason
This is an important new line being crossed. Trump isn't just pardoning the act of attempting to overthrow the government on January 6: he's pardoning *those people* for committing crimes generally. He may be creating a group of (federally) legally untouchable people.
Trump re-pardons a Jan. 6 defendant to erase unrelated gun conviction
