While Amaryllis are big during the holidays, I chose a paper white which has grown to two feet / .6 meters.

Wow, what a lovely wine. You don’t necessarily see a lot of Mourvedrè (Mataro) in the US. A treat from regen ag/biodynamic producer Troon… Rogue Valley AVA, southern OR. A bit lighter than what we enjoy in France, with smooth silky tannins, yet the same rustic richness #winesky #troonvineyards

Fall is on, or is it autumn? Either way, a recent warm evening included this rosé and main dish shrimp salad combo #winesky

When I reach for Bordeaux, I prefer something softened by age. Porte Chic’s Pomerol ‘15 hit that sweet spot - big on flavor layers, perky acidity, silky tannins, velvety soft. A wine to cuddle up with on a cool autumn evening with a significant other or a good book! Best part? #Winesky

My acquaintance Namratha’s (Nam) book is next on my read list. I know it’s an incredible story of bravery -escaping an abusive marriage and starting over. She makes stunning wine now in Bordeaux! #Booksky #Winesky #biography

Going to be a fantastic read! The Last Empress of France by Evelyne Resnick & Petie Kladstrup (author of Wine & War). Eugenie de Montijo created haute couture, fought for women’s rights, opened France’s schools to girls and ruled the country as its last empress. #nonfiction

Close to Barbaresco in Piedmont. Independent grower, wine is produced via a ‘spirited family effort’: father, daughter, grandson. 🍇80% Nebbiolo and Arneis. Add a slight chill then bring out for BBQ food👏🏻 #winesky

Enjoying sweet sips made from 4 Portuguese grapes from a historic vineyard in Amador County, Calif. Warm summer evening outside with friends… doesn’t get much better! #jeffrunquistwines

An enthralling, inspiring biography - a teenage boy who fled Tibet at the start of the Chinese occupation. From struggling to fit in, to excessive partying, then finding his way. A super read for anyone! #booksky #books #biography

Finished #6. With all the craziness in the world, this book series was a great place to escape. The benefit of that was learning a lot about Buddhism via his weaving teachings into fantastic #fiction stories. #booksky
