I have never seen anything like this in NYC. 5th Ave covered from 42nd St well to the 20s. Nobody prepared for this volume. Volunteers are holding the traffic on all the side streets. No police in sight. #handsoff

Growing up in a family with a narcissistic psychopath at the helm makes navigating the current political landscape extremely challenging. It is a daily onslaught of triggers, especially for those of us who have still not reached safety from these people in our personal lives.

Schools were hotbeds of COVID transmission. Kids died. Teachers and other school staff died. Family members living with kids died.
Many who didn’t die—including kids—got long COVID.
THAT is what we didn’t reckon with. All we ever hear about is harms of closure

Maybe it’s the trauma fatigue & triggers or PMS, but the idea of starting over here after building such a community over there is depressing and deflating. I hate change. I hate goodbyes. And I really don’t have it in me. 1/

Every time I get a notification that more than one person followed me, as soon as I follow one back and go to find the next one, they disappear. So, it’s making it very difficult to follow people back.

Just found out a mosquito with West Nile was found in my neighborhood, and I have had at least 3 mosquito bites in the last several days…just when I was starting to feel like I dodged Covid at all of my drs appts last week…this is too much for my nervous system. 😭😱 Fuck this place.
