If you are thinking "it isn't fair that they have a 4 day work week and I don't" you are right! Fix that problem by forming a union and bargaining for what you need.
WE WON! After 42 days of striking we have a tentative agreement in hand that protects our existing 4 day work week, establishes a minimum salary, and adds protections against AI replacing jobs at our workplace!

Amazon gets $15.7B. That could lower ACA premiums for 2.4 million people.

Microsoft gets $12.5B. That could cover Medicaid for 3.8 million children.

When reducing dependencies in Svelte projects, I was really surprised how many dependencies the typical glob library has and ended up switching most of the JS ecosystem to tinyglobby once it became available. With one final PR pending, the Svelte ecosystem is nearly free of extra glob dependencies!
tinyglobby is a great success, and has shown us how much we can improve perf for everyone. here's some of the story!

big thanks to @superchupu.dev and @benmccann.com for putting so much work into this and the migrations/adoption. we're lucky to have both in the @e18e.dev community 💙

Part of why I am extremely picky about blocklists is because a lot of the time, the only thing you notice is that your buddy is just quietly gone one day, and it might take more effort than it should be to track down why.

Only "block" on lists where you trust the curator to control *what you see*.
Personally I’m not too pressed because I always assume the people who are truly interested in me will at one point notice/seek me out and undo the block, but for smaller accounts it’s messed up and can really screw you over

So yeah, I’ve become kinda anti block lists unfortunately

Greenery alongside cycle tracks cuts the risk of flooding by managing stormwater locally, the hedge also makes a nice barrier between bikes and motor vehicles, reducing spray from motor vehicles during rain, as well as improving the look of the street.

Condolences on everybody who now needs to write articles about how resistance to fascism is super unpopular and can’t win. It’s a tough job, but at least it pays well.
Tonight's even more proof the mainstream reporters who are still on Twitter are suffering from a brain problem akin Havana Syndrome that is preventing them from accurately doing their jobs. They are being cooked alive by a snuff-focused apartheid algorithm.

SvelteKit 3 / Vite 8 will be built on rolldown. You can use it now if you're adventurous!

If you're not using the new remote functions, it largely works without issue and is much faster.

We'd love help in discovering any bugs that haven't been unearthed yet! Post them at github.com/vitejs/rolld...
