When my kid was 5, I thought it was time & asked my Finnish mom to bring a children’s puukko from Helsinki. She was a bit hesitant and asked the store attendant: „So how old must a child be at minimum when getting the 1st puukko?“ The (female) attendant mused and said: „Umm, I‘d say, at least 2!“
