I was initially extremely disappointed with Fallout 4.
After hundreds of hours... I've learned to cope with my disappointment, but it's never really gone away.
Not super optimistic for the future. But I guess we'll see.

And of course Venezuela has their own set of "stuff" going on. Super complicated, multiple sides, multiple issues, and us with a current government that struggles with even the concept of nuance. 😢

And there may be competing voices here. Chevron might not want to rock the boat or may hope for additional concessions from Venezuela. ExxonMobile is worried Venezuela will invade the Essequibo region and mess up their Guyana deals. And parts of our government are in OMG Socialism! mode.

The nice thing about a complex situation going back decades is that an intelligence agency can easily stir up additional trouble while maintaining deniability.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I suspect r*ssia is stirring up sh*t on both sides, trying to get us into another war. The border dispute has been going on for more than 125 years, but suddenly Venezuela is building military bases and passing referendums. Coincidence? Maybe.

I knew that ExxonMobil has contracts or something in Guyana, in some of the disputed territory that Venezuela claims is theirs. I didn't realize American companies were in regular Venezuelan territory. It's not something I follow.

Agree, and this has always bothered me! If approximately everything is WMD then the term isn’t really useful, and the press likes to inflate everything which kind of turns it into nonsense for the general public.
