It was an honour to be interviewed and discuss my research on popular female musicians and mental health on the Sound Affects Podcast: Music and Mental Health with Katy Georgiou.
Thank you Katy for the great discussion.

The Greens don’t believe providing safe refuge for endangered asylum seekers is an “out-of-control” policy.

Nor do we believe making life more difficult for those in need is the way to unify British society.

Refugees are welcome.

I hope this feeling shifts soon…

Yesterday, the largest far-right protest in UK history marched through London, led by racist Tommy Robinson.

Today, we say: They don’t speak for us — and they won’t have the last word.

This Wednesday we come together against Trump and for a better future. Do everything to be there.

A growing economy is good news, and today's growth figures are actually better than expected, even if below the average since 2000. More broadly, the government is running out of time to put direct support for living standards at the heart of its strategy for growth.
GDP grew 0.3% between Apr and June. But the story for families behind these numbers is declining living standards

Without affordable housing, a stable job and strong safety nets, people are less able to take risks or invest in the future

Rising living standards are essential for a strong economy 📢

14 years ago, we lost this incredibly talented woman, Amy Winehouse.

I often put on her music when I’m feeling troubled, lost in the world, I misunderstood.

Thank you for the music, Amy .

I would not have been diagnosed in the '80s. I'm female, I was well behaved (at school), I had good grades. Until it was all too much for too long and I crashed. Everyone else was surprised, I'd been steuggling all my life.
While bad actors catastrophize about the increase in autism diagnoses, it "is actually a long-needed correction of a longstanding bias, which had overlooked many in need of support." And do we really want to go back to blaming autism on "refrigerator mothers"?

@sevenoaksbookshop.bsky.social how about it? 😀❤️
What's more romantic than meeting someone new over a shared loved of books?  📚💫

As a singleton who's tried dating apps, asked gym crushes and bren on Netflix Indian Matchmaking, I know how modern dating can be.

I'm excited to be hosting a "Bored of Dating Apps" night in a bookshop this week.

I think part of the pain of what’s happening, aside from all the obvious terror, is that I always took the progress we’d already made as a society for granted, thinking we were moving on to new fights & that aim would be toward something positive. I didn’t count on us being dragged backwards.
