How do *you* take it when someone leaves your TTRPG? I find it hard not to take it personally, even though I know I shouldn't. I realize people leave games for all kinds of reasons. But I feel like it's a missed opportunity to hear someone out, work out a compromise instead of them quitting.

I think one of the many barriers to getting people to play D&D these days is the onboarding tasks. Go to D&D Beyond, make a character (itself a huge task), take the Lines & Veils survey, connect to the VTT, read the wiki. Whew. It is a lot taken all at once.

I really don't want to give money to any restaurant who wouldn't serve someone because of their race, color, creed, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender presentation. If they seat you and rush you out, or put you in the back, or just refuse to serve. That place loses my business.
