I had a Threads addiction when it started and that is a very real problem. I'm off IG currently so also off Threads. I got on X, whoopsie. Was never on Twitter in the first place

Looked into it and a new CEO took over this year and they've pivoted to partnerships with tourism bureaus as their main source of income and they're launching a travel planning app

Well ya know, one of those dreadful off again on again things. He was likely a covert narcissist which was my go-to partner type for years. I just didn't realize it at the time. Par for the course for those creatures. Always a bench full of backups.

but I've got stuff to learn and I'm learning a lot more over there. Not leaving, just pissed off that I let some of ya'll make me think this was the only sane option. I get that it turned into something it wasn't meant to be, but it's wild how distorted perception becomes online. It's a useful tool.

I have experienced far more nastiness and criticism on here with all the infighting and extremist black-and-white attitudes. Maybe this will change as I continue to use X, but just needed to get this off my chest. And of course I understand the people who left on principle because of nutbag Musk,

started using X and honestly I am super irritated at myself for allowing the fearmongering of the masses to keep me away from it. I only see the stuff I'm interested in, hardly ever see any of the things that supposedly made everyone leave, no arguments. I haven't even messed with any settings.

Like 20 years ago someone game me a stack of these to leave on peoples' windshields. This was all we had before social media. passive aggressive cards

I slack these days but my last therapist used ACT therapy which has a big mindfulness component. She got me to use a couple of apps. Insight Timer and the other I'm blanking but will reply if I think of it. I have ADHD-C as well as OCD. It helped with the constant running commentary in my brain.
