Idk what happened to Atlas Obscura, whether a private equity firm bought it or some VC took over or what but these are three new locations that popped up on my feed back-to-back. They've gotta have AI posting for them on social. This is crazy. A youth center, a chocolate shop, and a "garden"

I've been creeped out by IVF since it came into the limelight and have very strong feelings about it that I usually keep to myself. This is a real ad.

Like 20 years ago someone game me a stack of these to leave on peoples' windshields. This was all we had before social media. passive aggressive cards

Looks good and I like the cover design by Greg Heinimann.

"a novel about a film about a performance about Jesus. It is a daring act of literary ventriloquism, a meditation on censorship, creativity, loneliness – and just how far our tolerance is tested by bad people who make great art."

A lost art. I remember the first time I came across one of these in the wild at an estate sale. I was flabbergasted.

9am here in lower Alabama. 80% humidity and feels like 96 degrees. As soon as you step outside your door, it smacks you in the face and weighs you down. It's a dog's breath kind of a day.

I'm just trying to live a life free from people who talk about how much soul a piece of art contains

You ever look at the feed of a person who blocked you and say OH yeah, wow... we are not for each other, good call

Call me a grandpa, but I don't love it when there's a sculpture of a Simpsons character hanging off my coat

Reading my first Margaret Atwood book. I really like it. I suppose I should have somewhat expected the explicit molestation scene that hit me like a bag of bricks, but I did not.

Ah yes, and then we have the genre of user who thinks bluesky has reinvented the internet and contains some sort of superhuman user base that is immune to societal issues and who takes it as a personal attack when anyone says anything negative about it

I have a sneaking suspicion that "Weak Beef" wouldn't have spoken this way to a male writer sharing their work. Vile.

It's the first time I've been in the southeastern US during the springtime in years. Forgot about these. They fall off Magnolia trees after protecting the buds in the winter. You'll find them on the ground amongst fallen leaves, and they look and feel like a soft, furry dog's ear on the outer side.
