The thing I find so unforgivable is that he literally didn't care about the trauma so many of us suffered. As long as Carrie Antoinette was sucking him off in his office (this is on the record from a senior civil servant), he had no interest in the people of the UK. I hate him.

I personally think taxes need to go up, I resent their stupid manifesto promise which means they either have to create mistrust in politicians or do nothing meaningful to stop the spiralling decline of services, which in itself creates mistrust & apathy. An appalling vicious circle they fell into.

I drove to the supermarket this morning. It’s not much of an achievement but it was only the third time I’ve driven since I suffered a stroke in March. I’m planning on driving 3 or 4 times a week to build confidence.

One benefit of retirement is that I don’t need to drive home from work in the dark after the clocks have changed. Sometimes the 6 mile journey took 1.5 hours because a car had broken down. I hope everyone who is driving home tonight has a quick and safe journey.
