I think I also figured out why I struggled so much reading books written in first person. In most cases, I could never get behind the choices they made. I'm much more comfortable with third person.

Open an Excel spreadsheet and try to math, logic or formula.
Guaranteed to instantly fire my brain into thinking about anything *but* numbers.

I'm am tweaking a sentence that feels too cliche. It should reflect the fragility of someone whose heart was broken & the carelessness of the one who broke it. Said from the best friend's POV. Suggestions?

I wound up grabbing a Black Friday sale on Plottr (lifetime) as well. I now have everything I need (I think) to streamline my writing. Not only that, I've spent the entire holiday time writing. I'm passing 16k words on book two now.
