Come along in person or join us online, www.lse.ac.uk/events/savin...

Hey! Happy Friday yall! This Osprey landed on our back porch in Frisco, NC. I *think* it could be a juvenile that has been hunting from a duck blind nearby. #birds

Today (May 16) is #EndangeredSpeciesDay ! There are a ton of endangered birds in the world whose populations have dwindled due to habitat loss and illegal pet trade.

I wanted to spread some awareness, so for every comment, I will talk about an endangered bird and share a donation link for them!

Today was my last day at GitHub/npm.

I've been doing this for nearly 25 years, so I've accrued quite a bit of expertise. If you're looking for someone that is an experienced programmer with a passion for data in all forms (databases, apis, protocols, etc.) please reach out.

If you have a chance, make Bill Smith’s Honeysuckle Sorbet Recipe. It’s amazing, and any leftover syrup goes really well with seltzers.

This is the kind of footage you give away for free the first time and after that you charge for only half the amount of footage.

Just real baby bird hard drug stuff.

Always for free here on bluesky.

A solid addiction.

Elon's influence in Trumpworld may be waning, but the DOGE wrecking ball is still going full speed. Yet this *is* a good window for federal workers to organize to stop it.

Labor studies prof @ericblanc.bsky.social has ideas, drawn from past successful labor movements, for how they might do so:
How federal workers can organize to stop DOGE
With Elon Musk’s influence waning, fed workers have a window to push back. Rutgers labor studies professor Eric Blanc explains how.

Great news! The award-winning SoCal Snowy Owl short documentary will be on SoCal PBS streaming on APRIL 1!

They used my pictures on key promo materials of the film.

It's a very cute film about community and nature. Super clutch in this moment. #birds (1/3)

Some birds look good from any angle, like this Eurasian Eagle Owl at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy. Others, like turkeys and vultures, well... that's another story. They are beautiful in their own way.
