They locked children in cages.

They. Locked. Children. In. Cages.

Cages. Children.

This is a school, in the United Kingdom, in the 21st Century.

This is a national disgrace.

Can someone please explain how this has been allowed to happen? I can’t process this.

A reminder, this happens in schools all across the UK. Schools will call them “sensory rooms”, or “Quiet areas”, but in reality they are padded cells where children can be arbitrarily kept in for hours, with little oversight and zero accountability for staff.

It’s a prison in all but name.
