On Jan. 15, 1975, I and a partner founded The Observer, a weekly newspaper serving Mifflin County, PA. I was publisher and editor. I sold my share in 1978 and left but the paper kept on. On Dec. 31, 2025 it published its final issues, a run of 50 years and 50 weeks--2,650 issues.
