Can you count, suckers?! I say the future is ours, if you can count
Family mac and cheese recipe fits 2.5 lbs of cheese and 1.5 lbs of pasta into a 9x13 pan, defying both logic and physics

Thanksgiving and Christmas were the only two times a year my Italian American family would do "American" food, which I still don't understand
it fascinates me how most everyone in the U.S. does turkey for Thanksgiving, but we are all over the map as to what we eat for Christmas (as is proper for a hugely diverse nation).

I come from a Christmas prime rib roast family, myself.
I also use the bacon method. Although turkey is Christmas dinner where I come from.

I wouldn't just delete it, I'd prosecute those responsible
I'm biased here but it strengthens my belief that global scale algorithmic social media is one of the worst inventions in human history. I'd delete it off the face of the earth without a second's hesitation

Billions of Federal dollars poured into suburbian development while starving cities of the same. The racialized, mass suburbanization of post-war (45-72) is one of the most well-studied parts of this period. You're usually unfairly maligned but here you're doubling down on your ignorance
"In a perfect state of nature everyone would share my preference for a dense, urban, car-free environment" is a pretty idea but I think we should be forced to grapple with the possibility that many pretty ideas are not correct
Will's gotta stop with bad housing takes. Americans did not merely reveal preferences. There was concerted government action to destroy old urban housing, impose exclusionary zoning on new construction, plus massive subsidies for highways and individual mortgages that gave us SFH sprawl.

Andy Byford waking up with a wicked hangover after partying all night in front of a burning effigy of Cuomo wondering if he can stand a second night of dismantling Catholic plots to gain power

I would also like to take over local fraternal organizations. How many members does my local Masonic or Elks lodge have? No idea. Let's go find out
an idea that crossed me, that i have no concrete reason to believe would work in practice, is that groups like DSA (or just not-dead-on-arrival regional democratic party orgs) should pickup robust schedules of happy hour at X where X is a rotating list of bars/parks/libraries

Dick Van Dyke outlived Dick Cheney so I think that's a point in favor of chimney sweep being a healthier job than war profiteer

The best way to cook a turkey is in parts, pulling individual pieces when they're done. It's easy to butcher it yourself!
What's gonna be on your thanksgiving plate?

I really like this style of subway signage and I'll be bummed when they destroy this. Managed to get the 4 train blowing by in reflection

The Mastermind is gorgeous with really solid performances but, whew, perfectly recreates the tedium of male ennui which makes for a tedious film

Jamie Taco stole his lines. The director doesn't do anything. Jamie took 15 of his lines. He's here to take them back because he loves his wife

Forgot the camera work, the physicality in this movie is fantastic. Sean Penn's bowleggedness, Benicio del Toro's is a fluid solid, Leo's clowning, Teyana Taylor moves like a downed powerline. Really good time at da movies

I wasn't really connecting with The Boxer from Shantung but then those last 20 minutes are electric—reversed my opinion on the movie

This was me; I never wanted anything more than to be a paleontologist after seeing this movie
There are some paleontologists that got mildly annoyed by Jurassic Park's impact on the cultural view of dinosaurs, but there are WAAAAAY more who saw dusty Sam Neill making very little money as he dug through the desert and thought "THAT. That is my north star. I know what I must do now."

Making energy from the sun and gene-hacking nucleotides to cure disease is literal capital G god shit and instead we're pouring billions into non-functional computers that can't count or do math
