Migrated from the hell hole and found it much better for my mental health here. I live a quiet retired life in rural Suffolk, UK with Himself who is finally working part-time in the wind down to retirement, 12 yr old arthritic dog, 2 cats and 6 chickens.
Thanks. I am. It's a bit darker red than in the photo and lovely and shiny.

Been out in it again today. Took OH to town but he walked back while I was at the gym. It was lovely to drive back by myself and not have him saying I'm going too fast and am too near the kerb etc. I've been driving for 42 years but you'd think I'd just passed my test!

Very true. Self entitled.

Just heard. Sad news. RIP Jimmy.

Nothing wrong with being lazy. Cats have got away with it for years 🤣 Good to share the load around though as takes the pressure off of you.

It's nice to reread favourites. Like visiting old friends. I also have digital books downloaded from the library (both Suffolk and Norfolk!) and lots on the Kindle app from when publishers offer free/cheap as well as audiobooks so I can listen when doing other things. I do get the plots confused 🤣

Our Minnie is the same. She's such a scaredy cat and retreats to the garden until the invaders have gone. She even hates the door to the boot room where their access point is and freedom beyond being closed now the weather is much colder. I'm convinced she's claustrophobic as well.

Beulah, from Suffolk born and bred, also has a keen eye for cheese and biscuits which she demands her daddy shares with her. Same goes for yoghurt, croissants in fact anything edible. Sometimes the boy cat joins in too which she's not best pleased with!

Sounds like our house and no you can never have too many books. Though I'm getting the stage of thinking will I live long enough to read all the books I have that I haven't read yet!

There should be no "could" about it. He was PM at the time so he was responsible. Don't take on the greatest position of power over people's lives if you're not prepared to take responsibility when your decisions or lack of them result in those people dying and becoming long term disabled..

Perhaps he could have introduced that as a policy when he was PM or campaigned for it at any time over his time in Parliament? Like all these selfish self centred politicians he only thinks of it when he's the one affected.

That bridge sounds distinctly dodgy! Glad the house sounds safe. Take care though as friends have been flooded over the last 5 years who've never been at risk before. We've got parts of the garden that flood and the drainage ditches around and through the garden do sometimes overspill so keeping 🤞

Take care Matt. Don't carry on working if you feel awful. Rest is the only way to get rid of these things. I'd take Migraleve but it would leave me feeling "spaced out" for a couple of days after.

That's scary Hetty. Hope you don't get flooded. We've had so much rain it surely must stop soon 🤞

Morning. Still dark here and the tawny owls have been hooting all night. Must be a lot to gossip about! Finally drove my new car yesterday. Instrument panel and info screen look like Mission Control and I can talk to it 🤣. Will take pics today if it's finally stopped raining. Have a good day.

Snuggle down with them and hopefully your migraine will be gone soon. I'd get dreadful migraines when I worked in a stressful job in an air conditioned office with awful lighting. Since retiring and moving to the country I've not had one in years but still remember the awfulness of it. Take care.

Hope things sort themselves out for the better soon. Wishing you well. Take care of yourself Bear.
