The UK, where the day after a decision to take half a million children out of poverty, the media & political world has been full of sneering at those same children & their families, labelling them as ‘Benefits Street’, while the same people are moaning about a tax on £2m mansions. Shameful stuff.

Charlie Kirk WAS a fascist
A hateful fearmongering narcissist who routinely spouted his disdain for America, equality, and anyone not white and male
What happened to him was a crime
A shame
But not a tragedy
I eagerly await your hate mail
I guess it’s a good thing we were so concerned about the right to speak our opinions being outlawed by a ruling class that we guaranteed it by making it the very first amendment in our Bill of Rights when we formed the country.

Only if the direction you are aiming for is down into the core of the earth.

Setting aside the personal costs on people, which clearly Labour doesn't care about. This is bad for the whole country. Migrants help prop up most of things everyone takes for granted.

This is Mark Littlewood, former Director of the Institute of Economic Affairs, former Lib Dem Head Press Officer & current Dir. of Popular Conservativism.

He's been on @benkentish.bsky.social's @lbc.co.uk show (circa 11.05pm), arguing the Welfare State is too generous.

What an egregious cunt!!! 😡

The diplomatic "achievement" of the ceasefire was to recalibrate the tempo of the genocide sufficiently to get it off the front pages and the news bulletins, thus alleviating the political pressure on Israel's western accomplices.

Almost every newspaper and broadcaster in Britain is now waging a racist 24/7 campaign of hatred against migrants on behalf of the ultra rich. In response to this, one small thing you can do is donate to the NGOs supporting refugees.

🧵Trump’s State Department has declared abortion, DEI, and LGBTQ+ rights “human rights violations”

“Countries ensuring their citizens have human rights are infringing human rights.”

This is the new guidance sent to every embassy and consulate.

The classic paradox of white supremacy.
US says countries with DEI policies as infringing human rights
US officials say the rules will stop "destructive ideologies" but others argue it is redefining human rights principles for Trump's goals.

the bbc changed their article from saying 'trans woman' to saying 'biological male who identifies as a woman'.

even if you don't care about trans ppl it should alarm you just how captured the bbc has become.

they will no longer even say 'trans woman'. that's not normal and shows massive bias.

Among the many horrors of institutional transphobia in the UK, it is pretty depressing that as a trans person I genuinely am losing any faith that someone like me would be treated fairly by our judicial system.

I realise we’re far from the only community this affects, it’s still bleak.

Rightly so. The economy's flatlining, cost of living crisis hasn't gone away, corporations are profiteering and Labour hasn't a clue what to do other than maintain the dysfunctional status quo.
