I had not been tracking this story, but it appears an overzealous ICE agent shot a woman five times with no cause, and afterwards to cover the crime the DOJ just made up a fake story that she was a terrorist who attacked federal officers, then charged her.

Another Thanksgiving dinner tip: when making gravy, use Potato Starch (not potato flour) instead of flour to thicken. It's how most Chinese restaurants thicken their sauces.

This may or may not be true - most conservative state-of-education pieces I've seen over the years end up being mostly made up - but it's still worth noting that the attempt to tackle the deficiencies described here is part of the "new math" these exact same people railed against 10-20 years ago.
